Healthy food? Any day please!

My two main goals in life are to be happy and to be healthy. Healthy eating is a key factor in achieving my second goal. An easy habit that I incorporated into my diet is the addition of super foods throughout my meals and snacks.

 

A super food is a food that is rich in nutrients, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, etc. Eating it from time to time is good, but since I eat it daily, I see their positive effects. So, I would like to introduce you to my healthy foods and some of my favorite foods.

 

Chia seeds

Chia seeds are rich in potassium and calcium. It is a very good source of fiber and protein. They are rich in good fats, contain omega-3, and omega-6.

 

Bananas

Bananas, my best friend on the days I play sports. They contain carbohydrates that help get energy, but they are also full of vitamins, potassium, sodium. In addition, bananas also help to calm heartburn, stress, constipation and helps with concentration.

 

Hemp seeds

I love the taste of hemp seeds. I add them to my muffins, my smoothies, my salads, because they are a good source of protein and, in addition, they contain all the amino acids necessary for a healthy diet, which is, for me as a vegan, ideal.

 

Parsley

Parsley is definitely my favorite herb. Since I was very young, I have been seeing my grandmother putting it in all her recipes. Today, I understand why, and I do the same. Filled with calcium, iron, phosphorus, vitamin C and beta-carotene, parsley “boosts” our immune system.

 

Kale

Obviously, kale had to be named, the star vegetable of today’s world. We girls love to have beautiful skin and kale is rich in vitamin A which helps us prevent acne through its anti-inflammatory effects. I have skin with a fatty tendency, vitamin A can help reduce sebum, a factor coming from kale that appealed to me.

 

Dates

I am in love with dates. I eat it every day, I cannot live without it. Having irritable bowel syndrome, I sometimes have problems with digestion. Dates help me relieve my bloating. Iron and vitamin B in dates help strengthen the roots of our hair.

 

Sea buckthorn

I recently discovered this little fruit rich in antioxidants. It is a small orange berry that is rich in vitamins C, E, A, K and also in minerals including iron, phosphorus, manganese and calcium. A fruit that is very perfect for giving us a boost when we have the flu, when we are tired and even better, relieve menstrual pain.

 

These were my top 7 healthy foods and super foods that I eat daily. Difficult to eat ALL of them frequently? In fact, it’s VERY easy, as they are all found in EVIVE smoothies that are prepared in 30 seconds, or in Alexe’s smoothie recipe! Great, is it not?
